Manny Pacquiao vs. Rick Hatton: Brick and Stone

Manny Pacquiao vs. Rick Hatton

A boxer’s smorgasbord sprinkled with reminisce of Sugar Ray Robinson vs. Jake Lamotta, smothered in a course of classic boxer/brawler meets puncher/brawler, with the main course here being plenty of leather swapping/blood and vaseline...popcorn, anyone?!?

In Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao we have a relentless boxer/brawler with a darting style, in which condition is further enhanced by blinding speed, and strength, in both hands. It is this approach to boxing that makes Pacquiao’s skills likened to that of a Pitt bull attack. The feverish tenacity that he brings to the ring via his vicious, awesome, and oftentimes crippling combination, brings round after round of suspense in his shredding of opponents by attrition.

Pacquiao, like the late great Ray Robinson, demonstrates effectively what it means to box and maintain an active fighting range in that he keeps fighters guessing and is able to explode and counter, oftentimes leading with a straight left hand, the likes of which many of orthodox fighters, are not used to seeing.

More and more, however, it should be noted that Pacquiao’s tendency to drop his hands before a steaming set of combinations leaves a lot to be desired. This writer finds that, in the loading of Pacquiao’s punches, he leaves himself quite vulnerable to an opponent's left jab and counter right hand. One needs not go far in the support of this theory as it can be seen in the Marquez fight.

It must be known here that Pacquiao’s discipline and hard effectiveness is in a fighter’s hard-pressed ability to pin him to the ropes or trap him in a corner. These are the two most important things that Ricky "the Hitman" Hatton will have to do if he hopes to win.

No one can dispute that Hatton is a straight-up, head-to-head, no-nonsense fighter. He takes awhile to grow on you, but once you’re a fan you will be wowed by his skill in the ring. His speed and manic pressing style are the trademarks of the brutal assault that have left many a man sitting in their corners, unable to answer the bell to the following round.

He made this very clear in the Kosta Tszyu fight. But if he intends to beat the Pacman, he must couple what has been mentioned above with savvy head movements, extra use of the jab, and an array of ranges and motions for counter attacks.

In this epic battle, the Hitman will most definitely have to curb his tendencies of lunging in and firing wide, looping body shots and consistently repeating the same series of combinations. All in all, he must use his leverage and his savvy to cut the ring from Pacquiao, leading him to the ropes where he, the Hitman, will be most effective.

While it's obvious to see that both fighters will brawl if pressed, neither Pacquiao nor Hatton likes to be outgunned. This makes for a knockdown, drag-out, no-holds-barred pressure cooker of a fight—a real flamer.

This writer’s money is on Pacquiao and him matadoring his way to an early knockout. For Hatton hasn’t had enough time with his new trainer, Floyd Meriweather Sr., to undo his lunging and pressing style.

So it must be added here that with all things being equal, Pacquiao can and will box. This is something that Hatton, in all of his glory, still seems very reluctant to do.

ASK WHY? Is it important to clean your teeth?

BARTENDAZ says white teeth = Success.

Your smile is one of the most important things that people notice. In recent years, Teeth Whiteners have become popular as they can dramatically enhance your smile, confidence, and overall appearance. One of the top teeth whiteners available on the US market is Celebrity sexy teeth, a teeth whitener, which produces great whitening effect without any mess or pain. Unlike other products it has no sensitivity and works equally well on both the inner and outer enamel. Professional Dentist Whitening is good too, but is quite expensive and painful particularly the last 20 minutes session. There is some restriction also on eating colored foods for next three-four days. Go smile is another well liked teeth whitening product. It does not cause tooth sensitivity and is fairly effective. Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus also does well as a teeth whitener and is easily available.

ASK WHY? WE TAKE ONE TO GIVE ONE (well a couple)

What is inside fighting and its relationship of taking hits to give one?

The range of a fighter begins with the Jab when we're talking about fighting range. A Boxer type is a fighter that can keep his opponent at the end of his Jab popping him at will. While a Boxer that counter's is often refer to as a Puncher staying just inside the jab and cross, slipping and weaving with hooks and crosses, to counter the Boxer. The game that is played by the most skilled of Boxers is Brawling better known as the inside game. To fight on the inside requires the skill and savvy of a Boxer, the slick weaving and slipping of a Puncher, with the menacing and relentlessness of a Brawler to be successful. Fighting on the inside means to sit in the pocket and fire down the line, rolling and deflecting your opponent's blows in the process.

ASK WHY: RASHAD EVANS and 52

PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW IF RASHAD WILL KEEP THE TITLE...

Rashad's understanding/work ethic is key to why he is going to keep the Championship.
The drive to be a champion is only the first part of the race, once that has been accomplished. You'll need to re- new your desire to stay a champion and that is the proper mindset. Rashad has faced many obstacles on his way to the title shot, which he won Saturday night stopping Forrest Griffin in the third round winning the fight by TKO.
Rashad knows that he can never rest now, for legacies are not given there are earned and it he wants to be more than just a blur, or a passing footnote he'll have to stay hungry.
It started when he was selected to fight on the second season of The Ultimate Fighter reality tv show. The knocks on Rashad was that he wasn't seasoned enough as a fighter, at the time of the show Rashad was cutting his teeth is small shows around the Michigan area where he amassed a 7- 0 record. He was told that he was too small to fight, as a Heavy Weight, but that didn't deter him. He simply asked for the chance to compete and Dana White gave it to him. Rashad went on to win a decision over Brad Imes flooring the 6 foot 7 fighter for the converting title of "TUF", and 6 a figure contact to fight in the UFC. During the show there were plenty of times that people had counted him out, but each time Rashad would rise to the occasion and defeat the show's favorite warriors. The Battle with Mike Whitehead who many felt was a shoe in for the contract, and his two round war with current team mate and training partner the "Dean of Mean" Keith Jardine.
Rashad kept beating the odds and winning Respect even from former UFC champion and welterweight legend Matt Hughes who chastise Rashad for show boating during a fight in the show, which only motivated Rashad more, proving Matt wrong, and winning his support, as Matt became the proud corner man of the New Ultimate Fighter.
Rashad's UFC career didn't start off stellar with lack lusting wins, while people questioned his ability to finish fights with something more than lay and pray tactics. But as I often told him from day one find out what kind of fighter that you want to be, and then build your self to that standard. Which he did patiently, working on his craft, and now no one can question his desire once he let the cat out of the bag. Starting with his draw with former UFC Light Heavy weight Champion Tito Ortiz, with many fans feeling that Rashad had come of age, even winning the fight. Tito past on a chance for a rematch, opting to by pass this rising star. Even before the Griffin fight Rashad stock was on the raise as he dismantled the former UFC Light Heavy weight Great the "Ice Man" Chuck Liddel, no one would have believed that it was possible to beat Chuck in the manor that he fell to Rashad. A feared striker in his own right with more knock out in title fights than any other UFC champion. Yet he was reduced to rumble by one punch, an over hand right, right on the button. From Sugar to Feared Rashad is a new storm blowing violent winds through the halls of UFC events for some time to come. Keep your eye on the storm.

ASK WHY? Stretch like a Football Player

BARTENDAZ SAYS, STRETCH LIKE KNOWSHON MORENO
Running back Knowshon Moreno's 18 carry, 168-yard, stunning effort for Georgia in Saturday's 56-17 win over Central Michigan wowed the watching crowds at Sanford Stadium. The way he outwitted Vince Agnew during his 29-yard run is easily the stuff legends are made of. Strangely, Georgia fans watching ESPN were not able to see the episode. The most that they got to see was a fleeting shot during a quick preview of the Bulldogs highlights. What was worse, ESPN did not include Moreno in its TOP 10 plays. Georgia coach Richt was categorical that Moreno’s play was good enough and that somebody at the network “must have missed the boat”.

Take a look at Moreno’s play. If you think that he could do that without stretching you must be crazy. Here are some great techniques for stretching your legs and hamstrings before sports. Stretching before a game helps players obtain high performance levels by preparing themselves for physical exercise. The Hamstring Stretch helps your lower body to become more flexible and also stretches the muscles of your lower back. Raise one leg and place the foot on a waist high bench. Straighten the leg you are standing on, and bend your body forward in order to grab hold of the leg on the bench holding it low. Hold this position for about 10-15 seconds, and release slowly. Repeat the exercise about 10 times with each leg. Here is how you can stretch your legs. Lay down flat on the floor next to a wall at a distance of about a foot or so away. Then bring your legs back and put them on the wall. Keep your legs straight. Hold that stretch for 5-10 seconds and then release it. You can repeat the first two steps and slowly try to move your legs closer to your face until your face is touching your knees.

Ask Why: On Code

A Perspective in CODE… CONSTELLATION:
This stuck me as a need to define these things, following the guidelines that we teach to the youth and our students.
" An Earnests Belief that without the tangibles of C.O.D.E there is no Integrity". Without integrity there is no Elevation, because the premise that you stand on is falsified and thus a lie. Any thing that begins in a lie ends in falsehood. So rather than step forth with the truth "I don't know or this is what I understand". The liar would rather re-create his falsehood rather than establishing himself from a known truth. Be he humble to the Universe that he is but a vehicle of the knowledge, and not the source.
What is this CODE?
C.O.D.E
Character, Order, Discipline, and Equality
What is Character? Your Moral makeup: Are you a Just Man? Are you a Prudent Man? Rational and Patience Man?
What is Order? To establish Harmony out of chaos: The ability to regulate mandates and follow them in a mature manor, without disturbing the balance "established Order".
What is Discipline? Discipline is the drive to steadfast, and the will to quench one's own desire to create chaos for selfish gains. Further it's the ability to inherit an order, and the ability to maintain one's Honor and Respectability, against those who would cloud their minds with doubt. To follow a manor of Protocol as established by the group or centered individual.
What is Equality? The Ability above all things to measure out, right balance, right order, and right justice. Equality is righting the scales of injustice and chaos with order and harmony.
What is code to you?
